APRIL 2011 AND ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH, THIS TIME AT PRESTON NORTH END'S FAMOUS DEEPDALE STADIUM...

April 13th 2011 and It's a Goal! finds another member to join its "family" as Preston North End come on board with a launch at their Deepdale ground. Host Steve McVickers managed proceedings smoothly in the beautifully appointed Invincibles Lounge, and kicked proceedings off by partaking in a "double act" with Preston manager Phil Brown in which the latter talked about the various attributes needed by players and teams, and how the confidence shown by professional players can often mask hidden insecurities within.

IAG National Development Manager Pete Sayers then gave an account of the history and ethos of It's a Goal! followed by local Public Health specialist Tony Roberts who gave his unequivocal backing to the scheme. Nacro representative Debbie Air talked about the programme from her organisations viewpoint and Malachy Murray gave the usual poignant yet humourous tale of his journey through the programme.
